Fellow humans,
You should see “Open in browser” in the top right corner of each SALtoshi Whitepaper email, which I recommend you should click each time, instead of reading my posts in your email inbox. Two entire paragraphs disappeared from SALtoshi Whitepaper #125 in the email version, but no issue in the browser version. Not sure if the email issue will persist, so reading each post in your browser is the most surefire way to catch every word from my alien brain.
Had an interesting dream last night. My mobile service provider decided to completely disable my ability to use my phone, which meant no calls, texts, or internet use. Apparently, during some sort of conference call, I said “shit.” Not sure why AT&T was listening in the first place. They showed me some sort of powerpoint to explain their actions. I guess the way I was talking, leading up to the word “shit,” was not part of the officially approved narrative. In other words, they didn’t like how I was talking.
Everybody might know by now — I don’t give a shit. I feel like everybody should respectfully speak our own truth, and for those who don’t like our truth, they can leave. However, we know life isn’t fair. If we say certain things in certain environments, then our voices are silenced. My dream was basically a warning about our mobile service providers, and their technical ability to cut off our ability to communicate. I don’t know about you, but I would hate to drive 400+ miles simply to have a conversation with my family. Favorite part of my dream — despite the drama of being cut off from my cell phone for talking crazy, my dad said he was proud of me.
Our society is at a pivotal shift right now. Major forces are blatantly trying to control mainstream narratives, and any threat is treated as dangerous as terrorism, which we know is false. Sometimes our words are simply words, and we have zero intentions of hurting anybody. The assholes in power are trying to eliminate any existence of true and individual self-expression. Why? I don’t know. We can either sit back and watch as big tech silences us with even more censorship, or we can at least dust off our own critical thinking skills, and start having real conversations about free speech.
Understandably, certain conversations should never be had. For example, we should continue fighting against pedophiles, terrorists, and foreign nations trying to utilize the internet in order to actually harm others. However, we should not silence our own neighbors when they simply share their opinions, thoughts, and feelings. Self-expression is one very important thing which makes us different from one another, and usually has a net positive impact. Unless we want everybody else to think, speak and act exactly like us? No thank you. I need a break from myself sometimes.
Essentially my dream implies nothing. Maybe further censorship never becomes reality, but it’s technically possible. Imagine an America so politicized, not only our mobile service providers, but also our internet service providers are closely monitoring what we’re saying and how we’re saying those things. Unless our voices go along with the collective masses, we wouldn’t have a voice at all (outside of in-person communication). Definitely not trying to spread fear-porn. All I’m saying is the more we stand up for ourselves now, the less we might be taken advantage of in the future.
Until next time,
Salvatore Norge
P.S. — Saturday morning and out of nowhere, I felt very sick. The first 12 hours were brutal. Tested positive for COVID yesterday. Almost back to normal today.
